Why Choose BBL Light Therapy?
BBL is not just a treatment—it’s a transformation. Here's what makes it so loved around the world:
-
Youthful Radiance: Stimulates collagen production, helping to reduce fine lines and restore skin firmness.
-
Sun Damage & Redness Correction: Fades sunspots, freckles, and vascular lesions for a more even complexion.
-
Versatility: Suitable for treating melasma, rosacea, acne scars, pigmentation, and more.
-
Minimal Downtime: A gentle procedure that fits easily into your routine.
-
Quick & Comfortable: Fast, effective treatments with lasting results.
Your BBL Experience at Lypossage Spa
Your session begins with a gentle, low-intensity light setting to prepare your skin by activating collagen and enhancing light receptivity. Then, our specialist selects the optimal light filter based on your concerns—whether it's anti-aging, wrinkle reduction, pigmentation, or vascular conditions. We carefully pass the BBL device over the target area in three precise rounds to ensure deep, even results.
To complete your treatment, we apply a cooling collagen mask and LED light therapy to calm the skin, reduce inflammation, and promote healing. You’ll leave with a refreshed glow and a layer of professional-grade SPF protection to keep your skin safe and radiant.

BBL LIGHT THERAPY
Restore your Skin’s Natural Glow at Lypossage Spa
BBL is not a laser therapy, but type of pulsed light therapy that reduces the appearance of freckles, age spots, brown spots, broken capillaries, melasma, and many other skin concerns.
This technology is an advanced form of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy. It uses high-intensity light pulses to target and treat various skin imperfections.
-
Light Absorption: BroadBand Light devices emit light pulses that penetrate the skin layers.
-
Targeting Imperfections: These light pulses are absorbed by the melanin (pigment) and haemoglobin (blood vessels) in the skin, effectively targeting pigmented lesions and vascular irregularities.
-
Stimulation of Collagen Production: The heat generated by the light pulses stimulates the production of collagen, a protein essential for skin elasticity and strength.
-
Skin Renewal: Over time, treated spots flake off, and new, healthier skin emerges.
How can broadband light therapy improve my skin?
Targeted areas absorb high-intensity light, which stimulates collagen growth and the body’s natural healing processes.
What happens during a broadband light therapy session?
Our aesthetician uses a handheld wand-like device to deliver light energy to the upper layers of skin. Because the procedure involves a bright light, your eyes are covered with a protective shield. The wand is moved over the area being treated. While not painful, you may feel warmth from the light and a sensation like a rubber band popping against your skin, which causes a slight discomfort. A session to treat the face lasts about 20 to 25 minutes, and larger areas take longer, if you wish to apply numbing in the area to be treated, you will need to arrive extra 20 minutes before your appointment time.
How many broadband light therapy treatments do I need?
That depends on the treatment area and the skin concern, said Al-Rohil. Treatment plans are designed specifically for each individual. For most facial treatments, she recommends three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart.
How long does it take to heal after a broadband light therapy session?
There is little or no downtime, and you can return to your normal activities the same day. Your skin may be slightly red for a few hours after treatment, and you should wear sunscreen. If you had broadband light therapy to treat brown spots, they will first get darker and will then lighten in about a week.
How long do broadband light therapy results last?
This can vary, but a good skin-care regimen that includes the daily use of antioxidants and sunscreen plays a big role. In general, results last about 12 months. She recommends one to two broadband light sessions annually after the initial treatments to help maintain skin improvements.
Is broadband light therapy safe?
Yes. Before treatment, you will undergo a thorough evaluation to ensure that broadband light therapy is safe and appropriate for you. If you have a dark skin tone (Fitzpatrick skin type VI), are pregnant, or have taken Accutane in the last six months, you should avoid broadband light therapy.
